Meet Ms. Emma Caroline Rund, our amazing Theatre and Speech Teacher at FHS! Celebrating her fifth year as the Director of Theater, she brings a wealth of knowledge with a Bachelor's in Theatre Direction and Technical Design, specializing in Costume Design. Emma is not just a teacher; she’s also an active member of IATSE, working on Broadway and traveling shows in Indianapolis as a stitcher and dresser. She is also freelance costume designer and does wedding alterations as well! She even received 2 certificates of merit from the American College Theatre Festival for her costume design of Mousetrap and In The Next Room. Emma's enthusiasm for theatre shines through, and her greatest joy comes from watching her students blossom and build confidence through their theatrical journeys.
Meet Ms. Joy Caroline Mills is new to FHS as the Technical Director/Auditorium Supervisor. She is excited to join the passionate and talented FHS theatre team and students. Aside from having spent the last decade working in theatre educational settings, she also plays guitar professionally, most recently at Beef & Boards (Waitress, Pretty Woman). Her theatre technical specializations include lighting and sound design. She won the 2024 BroadwayWorld Award for Best Lighting Design of a Play or Musical in Indianapolis (TJ Loves Sally 4 Ever, Fonseca Theatre). She also freelances as a lighting and sound engineer, last year working on tour for Dreamgirls and The Color Purple for various venues in Charlotte, Chicago, Nashville, and Indianapolis. She loves teaching the next generation of artists how to believe in themselves, and how to create technical magic onstage.

Meet Mrs. Kellie Kern, one of our passionate English teachers at FHS! This marks her 8th wonderful year at FHS and her 4th year on the Theatre Fishers Production Team. With a deep love for theatre, she eagerly travels to New York whenever possible to catch captivating Broadway shows. She loves working with students to understand the text of plays and find their characters through the words in their scripts.
