How to Get
Thespian Points

  • One Thespian point represents approximately ten hours of quality work. Use this formula to award points for duties that aren’t listed. Performing arts schools and others with mandatory participation may choose to change that to twenty hours or more to avoid point inflation and maintain the honorary nature of induction in that setting.

  • The minimum eligibility requirement for Thespian induction is one hundred hours of quality work in theatre arts and related disciplines.

  • Inductees must earn ten points, five of which should be for work done at the school where they will be inducted.

  • Induction points should be earned in at least two of the listed categories, for example, acting and production.

One Act Play Competition

**Our Thespian Competition Show**

A Thespian Competition Show is a 45-minute production that is created and rehearsed in the Advanced Acting Class at FHS. This show will compete at Thespian Regionals in hopes of advancing to Thespian State to perform for teachers and students all over the state of Indiana.

Our preview of the Thespian Show will be on November 12th and is free for all. Please consider joining us and supporting the students who will be competing later that weekend at Regionals.

Thespys Theatre Compeitions

International Thespian Excellence Awards (Thespys™ for short) is an educational program that offers Thespians the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on prepared theatrical performances, technical presentations, and other areas of theatrical expertise in order for them to improve their prepared theatrical materials, expand their performance and technical competence, and develop their professional and presentation skills. The program honors high achieving students by advancing them from regional to international levels of adjudication in 21 official categories spanning performance, technical theatre, filmmaking, and writing.
